Managed IT with clear ownership of the work
Ongoing IT support for Metro Detroit small and midsize businesses that need dependable systems and a provider accountable for maintaining them.
When recurring issues need an ongoing owner
A slow workstation is a support request. Repeated outages, missed updates and uncertainty about backups are management problems. Third Level IT helps businesses move from reacting to individual incidents toward a defined maintenance and support process.
This service fits organizations without an internal IT department and teams that need additional operational support. We agree on which systems TLI owns and which remain with your staff or another provider.
What the service can cover
- User support and endpoint monitoring, maintenance and patch management.
- Network and firewall administration, with changes documented and checked.
- Security configuration and follow-up on identified weaknesses.
- Backup oversight and recovery planning, including what will be restored during a test.
- System documentation, vendor coordination and replacement priorities.
Covered systems, support hours, response expectations, onsite work and exclusions belong in the service agreement. Monitoring alone does not establish that every issue will be fixed automatically.
How onboarding works
We review your users, devices, business applications, network dependencies and current provider arrangements. Before taking responsibility, we establish authorized administrative access, confirm backup ownership and identify systems that need immediate attention.
The handoff then follows an agreed sequence: gather documentation, resolve access gaps, establish support channels, and verify monitoring and maintenance. You receive a clear division of responsibilities and a list of outstanding work.
Already under contract?
Start with the renewal date, notice requirement and the work your current provider is responsible for. A scoped project may address a specific gap while you plan a transition. We do not assume permission to replace an existing provider or take over systems without coordination.
What supports the approach
TLI’s principal engineer, Nate Howard, works directly with networks, servers, security controls and recovery processes. Our internal engineering example shows the difference between a successful backup job and evidence that recovery has actually been tested.
